Unlock a Page Version for Editing

A message bar can appear on a page, reading "This version of the page is currently being edited by (User Name)", and will have two buttons: Preview Their Changes and Continue Editing. This appears because another user had last accessed this version and has an active session stored. You are able to preview their work as well as unlock the page so that you can make your edits as needed.

Instructions

 

  1. Sign in to your Evolve website
  2. Navigate to the locked page
    Note: If the current version of the page is the version being edited, you may skip to step 6.
  3. If you need to select the version, click to expand the Page tab:
    Evolve, Page Tab.
  4. Click the Versions menu option:
    Evolve, Page Tab, Versions Option.
  5. Select the version that is being edited by another user:
    Evolve, Page Tab, Select a Page Version.
  6. A message bar will appear, reading "This version of the page is currently being edited by (User Name)", and will have two buttons: Preview Their Changes and Continue Editing. Click Continue Editing to access the pending version and continue editing it:
    Evolve, Versions, Message, Continue Editing Button.
