Data Provided in Search Results
When a user completes a search, the results will contain the following information:
- Icons to indicate the type of result
- Name of the page or module item
- Breadcrumbs to show where the source is located
Duplicates in Search Results and Auto-Complete
Our Search function benefits websites that include multiple links to the same content information to make specific content more easily found by users. A page associated with a site search will not appear in the search or autocomplete drop-down results multiple times.
The Search recognizes when the title and link of a page are the same, in which case the page will only appear one time within the search results and in the autocomplete drop-down menu.
Updating Results
Every 24 hours, our CMS (content management system) runs a Crawler Service that re-crawls and re-indexes new information on the site. If you Publish, Modify, or Remove an item on the site, it will still appear on the Site Search until this service runs again.
