Remove a Tab from a Tabbed Widget

Important Note

Before you can remove a tab, you must remove any widget and content inside the tab.

New UI Instructions

 

  1. Sign in to your website solution
  2. Ensure that you are using the New UI (click the Try New UI button if you are not) and navigate to your page:

  3. Click to select the tab you would like to delete:
    The tab in the tabbed widget.
  4. Hover over the content inside the tab and click the Remove This Widget (X) button to delete the widget content:

    Note: Some content types will offer another, similar Remove This Content Item (X) button. Clicking this button will delete a content item from the widget, but will not delete the widget itself.
  5. Click OK in the pop-up asking Are you sure you want to delete this widget?:

  6. Hover over the now empty area of the tab and click the Remove This Tab (X) button to delete the tab:

  7. Finally, click the Save Changes button to save the page:

Old UI Instructions

  1. Sign in to your website solution
  2. Ensure that the Live Edit state is toggled to ON (simply click the button to change the state) and navigate to your page:

  3. Click to select the tab you would like to delete:
    The tab within the widget.
  4. Hover over the content inside the tab and click the Remove This Widget (X) button to delete the widget content:

    Note: Some content types will offer another, similar Remove This Content Item (X) button. Clicking this button will delete a content item from the widget, but will not delete the widget itself.
  5. Click OK in the pop-up asking Are you sure you want to delete this widget?:

  6. Hover over the now empty area of the tab and click the Remove This Tab (X) button to delete the tab:

  7. Select a saving option:
    The Save, Save and Publish, and Save as Copy buttons.
    • Save: Will save your work without publishing
    • Save and Publish: Will save and publish (Draft Pages only)
    • Save as Copy: Will save as a unique draft/version
    • Cancel: Will cancel the changes made
