Overview
This article will show you how to add an Esri Widget to your page. This widget will help you display a map.
The Esri map is page responsive, meaning it will adjust with your page and with the screen type (desktop, mobile, tablet, etc). This is better than iFraming a map in because iFrames are not responsive.
Instructions
- Navigate to your desired page
- Ensure that Live Edit Is On
- Click View all widgets in the Content tab
- Drag and drop the Esri widget to your page
- Fill in Content Options on the left-hand side
- Esri Map Id: Add your ID to configure the type of map you want to display
- Note: If you need your ID, obtain your arcGIS from your city GIS department.
- Include Search: Click to include a search bar with your map
- Include Legend: Click to include a Esri legend (eg: explanation of colors, terrains, etc)
- Width & Height: Configure container measurements
- Note: Width and height are only for the container, not the page. So for example, if you set the Width at 50%, the Esri map will occupy 50% of the container, not the page.
- Esri Map Id: Add your ID to configure the type of map you want to display
- View your map
- Click Save at the top of the page
